Ok feeling brave, do your worst lol

Were really struggling with names and cant see to agree, I have two boys Alfie and Archie, so not sure whether to keep the granny chic or leave it there and have a more individual name.
Any thoughts appreciated.

From your list of boys' names I'd go for Benjamin (or maybe Benedict), William or Henry. I think Violet, Elsie or Hattie are all lovely and not overused at the moment.

Personally I'd go for Harriet and use Hattie as a nickname from the outset so she can choose in time to come to be Harriet, Hattie, Harrie/y or Hat! I have a Harriet who is known as Hattie; she's never been called fattie any more than any of the Emilys we know have been Emily Bemily or Alices, Alice Balice! We know a fair few Harry/Harrisons and there's not been any confusion as to which name belongs to which child. Iris is another pretty name that would go well with your sons'.

Another couple of names I think would work well are James, Thomas, Mary or Rosa. I see no reason why you can't continue with the 'granny chic' but also give your child an individual name.

se13mummy, thanks for the advice on Hattie, I was worried that it would be confusing with their friend Harry. But I think like you said if we call her Hattie from the start, there would be no confusion.
I like James aswell, so that is on the list now also.

Ok still struggling with names, nothing seems to be just perfect.

What do you think of Annie-Rose? obviously I have an Alfie, and there is a famous children's book with both names in.

So it would be Alfie, Archie and Annie-Rose

Or Jessica.

I really like Annie-Rose now and its special to the boys as we have a big Shirley Hughes book that a relative bought us when Alfie was born, but maybe its preg hormones again

I also think its a sweet name in general, and when she's older she could always have Anna, Anne or even Rose.

On another plus side, I'm almost sure you won't get too many nursery pegs with Annie-Rose on. Whereas Rosalie is becoming very popular now.

I really like Annie, but don't like hyphenated names. I think in practice that as soon as she starts nursery/school the second part would be dropped anyway. Of your original list I also love Hattie (maybe not that dissimilar to Annie). The Hattie I was at school with was a Harriet (also nice).

Don't think Jessica or Matthew go with your other names. Not a fan of hyphenated names but I think Annie-Rose does kind of go with Alfie and Archie. As does Charlie IMO.

Annie-Rose is really sweet, but it is quite a child-like name and she will have it for life. She might be cursing you in years to come! Well, I guess she can drop half of the name, and she has a choice! But it does fit well with the other two names and that's so important. For that reason - Marley, Jesse, Keeley - nooooo! Wrong!! Good luck whatever you decide.

Sorry, just seen you've narrowed it down. I love Annie, just beautiful, my great grandmothers were Annie Louisa and Annie Beatrice. So lovely and always called those names.
Harriet is lovely too. I wanted this for DD2 but got my way with trad victorian name for DD1 (Eliza) so had to bow to DH's heritage for her.
