First DS after 3DDs, with 5 weeks to go we have finally narrowed it down to 3 names.

Elliot
Matthew
Marcus

Surname is short one syllable and begins with R.

Which do you prefer?

First choice- Matthew every one I have known has been lovely and gentle.
Second choice- Elliot

Not keen on Marcus

I like Elliot but am never sure how to spell it. Given our email age, that could be a problem? Like the others too.

Well that doesn't help no clear winner

Here's my thoughts:

Elliot - probably my favourite always been my boys name, think it sounds really nice with our surname like a surgeons name! Downsides - blooming Scrubs has a FEMALE character with the same name (I don't watch it but it has been pointed out to me). We are in central Scotland and it might be a bit too poncey for round here.

Matthew - nice solid nothing wrong with it name but a bit middle of the road, very common there is already a boy in DD2's nursery class with the exact same name

Marcus - DPs choice, I don't know about it probably like the other two better, sounds like Mucus a bit
