Title says it all really, I want to balance up a longish first name and surname with a short middle name but can't think of many, I have rather got stuck with names beginning with B for some reason and DH doesn't like them (Ben, Bay and Blue suggested so far).

Any good ideas?

One of those is DH's name.

I am quite a fan of more modern names really, we have had no probs picking loads of potential names for the girl (having B / G twins) but can't think of anything that I really really like for the boy.

Bryn. I love this name and it's not very common in England. (Not sure about in Wales.)

Oh, I forgot. I also quite like Vaughan/Vaughn. (There's a newsreader on Radio 4 called Vaughan Savage and also, of course, there's the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. Both great connections if you ask me.)

Bart! Love it

AllieW, Bryn is a v popular old bloke name here in north wales and lots of the roads round here have bryn in their name. Not a bad suggestion to think welsh though as DD may well end up having a welsh first name.

dizzydixies - Bob is the name of one of DD's chickens
