Buda · 17/03/2010 16:51

I do know that school yes. I went to Mercy College. Left school a bit before you though - 1981!

I love Malahide. Had our wedding reception at the Grand. Have a good friend who lives in Malahide so always try to meet up with her for a drink in Gibneys and then a meal when I am home.

Tortington · 17/03/2010 16:52

pinkstripes · 17/03/2010 17:45

cadburys mmmmmmmmmm , we could smell the chocolate when we walked out our front door , the doctors surgery across the road from cadburys was my old quack
my SIL went to your school ,

Buda · 17/03/2010 19:13

My mum worked in Cadburys when I was about 10. It was great!

I remember that doctor.

What year did your SIL leave?

Buda · 17/03/2010 19:29

Oh - there is a facebook page for the school - tell your SIL in case she doesn't know. There was a reunion last thursday and there are loads of photos up.

OP - sorry for hijack!!!

pinkstripes · 17/03/2010 19:40

yes my neighbour also worked in cadburys & every Friday would hand out loads of bars & sweets to us all , used to beg my dad to get a job there lol ,

chipmonkey · 17/03/2010 19:48

Poor Roopoo! Have we totally put you off Jacinta?

stleger · 17/03/2010 21:27

Having asked my kids and dh we only know the one really nice Jacinta. So if you keep away from Dublin it is fine. My dh used to have to bring me Tiffin bars from Dublin when we were in Belfast, I think Irish Cadburys is the best chocolate.

Roopoo · 18/03/2010 09:47

Ha ha ha no I still really love it!!!!
But I also like Esme so Im torn really......

OP posts:
Buda · 18/03/2010 11:36

Esme. Definitely. MUCH prettier than Jacinta.

stleger · 18/03/2010 14:16

I knew a nice Esme a few years ago; she worked in an office with Lois and Topsy! Time for a Topsy revival? Esme and Jacinta are very different sounds.

chipmonkey · 18/03/2010 23:49

We had a cat called Topsy. She was scary!

MarianneD · 24/03/2010 21:46

I think it's lovely

AllieW · 25/03/2010 18:44

Not keen, sorry. I dislike both pronunciations - seems a little harsh to me. Cynthia seems a little better, but not much.
