As simple as that really, what do you think of when you hear Jasper or what do you think of the name?.

Thanks

it's on my shortlist
I think it's a strong but soft name, with a twist of cheeky.

ToccataAndFudge · 27/01/2010 14:39

carrott (is what I think of) as in him

squeaver · 27/01/2010 14:41

it's cool. A cool kid would have that name.

megonthemoon · 27/01/2010 14:43

LetThereBeRock · 27/01/2010 14:47

wasps

not sure why, but all wasps are called Jasper

feel free to igonore!

PanicMode · 27/01/2010 14:54

It's on our list, but DS1 hates "the call of it" - by which I think he doesn't like it when called out....I still want to use it but DH thinks that we can't because of DS' objection! It has however, been mentioned quite a bit lately, so it's putting me off a bit.

MunchMummy · 27/01/2010 14:55

Carrott or wasps.

Washersaurus · 27/01/2010 14:57

Jasper = carrots wasps and a popular dogs name.

I thought I liked it once but actually I don't really.

ShowOfHands · 27/01/2010 14:59

They used to make a biscuit called Jaspers. They were lovely.

I like it. Is a good, cool name. DD is going to marry a Jasper. It's all arranged.

PuppyMonkey · 27/01/2010 15:03

Great name, it was on my list too. No boys though.

Wasps???? Anyone explain that one, I'm intigued!!!

happywheezer · 27/01/2010 15:05

my mum calls Fleas/nits Jaspers.
However, I really like the name quite arty.

MaggieTaSeFuar · 27/01/2010 15:06

i like it, trendy, but i still like it. i think i prefer caspar for some reason though. it's slightly less 'cheeky'!

MaggieTaSeFuar · 27/01/2010 15:06

Confused
annasmami · 27/01/2010 15:18

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 27/01/2010 16:25

lovely LO at my work with that name, I love it

Sunshinemummy · 27/01/2010 16:25

I like it.

eggontoast · 27/01/2010 16:26

sorry, when I read it, I thought, the poster must be naming their dog. I feel really mean thinking that. You will never find a name that everyone likes - once you have named the baby, every one will politely say - ah, how lovely anyway. It is you that has to say it every day = if you love it, go for it!

ChickensLoveMarmite · 27/01/2010 16:28

I always think of it as a dog's name for some reason. Are there famous dog Jaspers?

ronx · 27/01/2010 16:36

Jasper is a nickname for a wasp in Worcestershire, where my DH grew up.
