I love Hannah, DH loves Nicola. Your thoughts?

Hannah is slightly better than Nicola.

I like nicola but think it would be shortened to nicky which I can't stand so Hannah.

Nicola is a bit 1970's isn't it. Prefer Hannah.

I much prefer Nicola; DS3 might well have been Nicola if he hadn't been a DS. Hannah is quite overdone nowadays, imho.

What's wrong with the 70s!

Only think wrong with Nicola is that if you have continental connections they will think from the sound that it is a boy's name.

Um, neither (IMO obviously). But if you must pick one, I suppose Hannah is okay and sounds less like those Ricola boiled sweets.

I always think Nicole sounds a bit like someone who works in a nightclub. Not necessarily the stripper but maybe the cocktail waitress...

Nicola, much more unusual, you'll find masses of Hannahs. Nice nick names too!

Nowt wrong with the 70's but it was the decade in which I was born and I went to school with a few Nicola and Nichola's.

Both nice! I think also Hannah hit its peak around 15-20 yrs ago, so isn't that common anymore.
