There are many about. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing.

5inthesleighbed · 09/12/2009 20:01

I like it. All the Dylans I know have ginger hair as well. Seriously!

i really like it. had it on my list for all 3 boys, but haven't used it yet. big Dylan Thomas fan myself though
it is fairly popular

pandaseyes · 09/12/2009 20:08

It is a lovely name. Not chavvy at all.

It will probably date though but not in a Kevin:Jayden type way.

nowwearefour · 09/12/2009 20:12

weird i know a ginger Dylan!!

LaTrucha · 09/12/2009 20:13

Great name. Did you know it's pronounced differently in Wales? More like Dulen. Thought you might like to know.

PoppyIsApain · 09/12/2009 20:15

Thanks, my other choices are Caiden and Dexter. Do you ladies think Dylan is the best one.

oooh love Dexter too.
def Dylan or Dexter.

really don't like Caiden. i am not sure why, but i don't like any of those names like Brayden/Kayden/Theydon

pandaseyes · 09/12/2009 20:18

Yes it's the best of the three in my opinion.

Caiden IS the C word and will date like Kevin and Dexter is a surname-come-trendy-celeby-name.

bellissima · 09/12/2009 20:19

For me it's the stoned rabbit on Magic Roundabout (and that's great) - I'm very very old.

LaTrucha · 09/12/2009 20:19

Dylan the best.

PrincessTweetz · 09/12/2009 20:20

Just had a lil giggle...my nephew is a Dylan & he has ginger hair as well lol

RnB · 09/12/2009 20:21

caiden is pretty awful imo. Dexter is cool. Dylan is fine but v popular

5inthesleighbed · 09/12/2009 20:26

I prefer Dexter. I heard that name a few weeks after having ds3, and so wished we had called him that now (He isn't Dylan btw)

Rhian82 · 09/12/2009 20:29

I love it. We might have used it (DH and I both Welsh) but our surname begins with a 'D' so we thought it would sound odd!

PoppyIsApain · 09/12/2009 20:37

Ive have just done a test and started the same ish thread on netmums, they love caiden and hate dylan and dexter Got to forget Caiden for def

sounds about right!

pippylongstockings · 09/12/2009 20:39

Dylan is lovely and popular - there are 2 in my DS class so they are known as Dylan X and Dylan Y.

Dexter is brill - really like that alot.

anamaria22 · 09/12/2009 20:49

I don't like Dylan at all, I'm afraid.

sophiesmummie · 09/12/2009 21:07

Don't like Dylan, nor Caiden.

Dexter is ok.

MamaLazarou · 10/12/2009 08:14

I like Dylan - it's one of the better popular names at the moment, IMO. It's quite a 'cool' name.

I know a gorgeous Dylan: he is 5 and has fabulous hair and cool dress sense and everyone loves him.

Dexter is also nice, and I like the nickname Dex.

Really dislike Caiden, though, I am afraid. There's nothing nice about it.

birdofthenorth · 10/12/2009 12:10

My 7 yo stepdon has Dylan as a middle name and I love it. Do it! Classy, celtic and cool.

mathanxiety · 10/12/2009 16:40

Dylan is the nicest, imo, followed by Dexter. Hate Caiden/Cayden/Kaiden/Kayden/Jayden blah blah

baby2onitsway · 10/12/2009 17:01

I love it, it's my DH's favourite from our list.
