I am still really struggling to come up with a name that I REALLY like. As per my thread a while ago, the contenders were

Keira(or Kira or Ciara - can't decide!) - both dh and I like this, but I don't LOVE it, and feel it's quite a hard sounding name.

Leah - which I do like and dh thinks it's ok but our surname is short (one syllable) and not sure it sounds ok.

Jemma - dd's choice which dh and I both think is ok, but not overly excited about!

Other names we have thought about are Sophia, Eliza (although dh not so keen), Charlotte, Eleanor.

DD has a flower name and we DEFINITELY do not want another one. I like names that are 'normal' but not really traditional like Victoria or Elizabeth.

Please help!!

Hi, my dd is Kelsey, though it wasn't very common nearly 13 year ago.
How about Bree??

bellissima · 12/09/2009 17:14

I know two male Kelseys. Both somewhat older than 13.

LittleMissWorryHead · 12/09/2009 17:25

Francesca? I love Charlotte from your list

CuppaTeaJanice · 12/09/2009 18:52

If you want a softer name with a 'Kiera' type feel, how about Sia or Milla?

Both were on my shortlist.

southernbelle77 · 12/09/2009 20:21

Thanks! Keep them coming.

Just asked DH what he thinks about Charlotte and we both said it's now probably the favourite again! It was the first name we put on the list, but since added more and sort of forgot about it. Although it is quite a popular name, I don't personally know any apart from a girl in dd's year at school (not her class tho) so not too worried!

If dd still wants Jemma, do you think Charlotte Jemma sounds ok?

Leah is lovely too.

I love the names;

devientenigma · 13/09/2009 14:46

Well sayin you singled mine out I have to admit Bree and Barrylee are good names. We all have our opinion and this day and age Charlotte most probably will be shortened to Charlie!!!!

Loujalou · 13/09/2009 19:16

Louisa is a great name but then I am completely biased....

I like Anna, Hannah, Sophie / Sophia, Natalia, Kate, Beth.
