Hector - really wanted Hector. Somewhat reeived that DC3 was a girl so I didn't have to make that decision!

samsonara · 22/04/2010 21:19

Delia
Emmaline
Alphonso (after the mango)

janeite · 22/04/2010 21:22

Hector is so cool - I love it.

Alouiseg · 22/04/2010 21:23

My third ds would have been Rupert.

However we called it a day after 2 ds' and now have a Bulldog called Rupert.

jellybeans · 22/04/2010 22:01

I liked (but DH hated)

Josephine
Hayden
Skye

MunchkinsMumof2 · 22/04/2010 22:15

My imaginary future children would be called

Ivo
Otis
Ned
Theo
Lyla
Clementine
Cleo
Scarlet

Dh would shudder at the thought

JustMyTwoPenceWorth · 22/04/2010 22:16

If I'd had a girl I would have fought for Savannah.

baskingseals · 22/04/2010 22:28

still want Gabriel for dc3 who is now 8 months old, it honestly really suits him. sadly it's not his name.

If I had severe memory loss and decided to have another baby I like Sylvie or Ariel for a girl.

TabithaTwitchet · 22/04/2010 22:45

We had some quite outlandish suggestions for boy's names (we had a girl anyway), which I think we would have chickened out of when it came down to it - at least for the first name, think they still have middle name potential:
Augustine
Constantine
Etienne
Emmanuel
Ludovic

Emil or Jerome

  • just loved Emil and the Detectives. But I had girls.
ShinyAndNew · 23/04/2010 15:20

I wanted to call dd2 either Angel, Alyssa or Anja. But DH wouldn't let me.

I was a single mum with dd1 so she has the name I wanted for her.

QueenThistle · 24/04/2010 08:44

I love 'male' names for girls -

Stevie
Drew
Elliot
Charlie
Andie
George

Also have a thing for Japanese names -

Kenichi
Haru
Reiko
Sakura
Sosuke
Takeshi
Ren

The name I have picked out if I have another DD is the surname of a film director...not posting it in case I get my way! DH currently doesn't like it, but I'll wear him down

Oh and it isn't Spielberg in case you're wondering

brightyoungthing · 24/04/2010 08:57

If DD was a boy she would have been Jacob or Joshua, JJ for short as her surname starts in J.

I love:
Angela
Pearl
Merle
Edith
Lyra
Leo
Sebastian

Ex DP wanted to call our DD Dave if she was a boy!!
My Dad said I would have been Pedro if I was a boy!!!

brightyoungthing · 24/04/2010 09:00

Girls names that I liked when pregnant with DD are:

Iris
Esme
Lilly

But I plumped for Francesca!!!
Most people hate it but I love it

melpomene · 24/04/2010 14:34

If dd1 had been a boy she would have been Alex.

If dd2 had been a boy she would have been Alex. She is actually Alix!

Ambrose, Gabriel or Valentine for a boy - all rejected by DH for being too poncey and/or girly and liable to be a target for bullying.
Given the unlikelyhood of any of our DC ever attending a private school I conceded that he had a valid point.

DramaInPyjamas · 24/04/2010 15:23

Just some of the names from my lists (which have been kept for future use!) that DH wouldn't even consider.. (hope I have better luck persuading him next time!)

BOYS
Arlo
Johnny
Denholm
Zander
Rafferty

GIRLS
Raine
Stella
Gypsy
Anoushka
Rita

notquitenormal · 24/04/2010 17:08

If I was brave enough I would have called DS Miles. It's a great name, but vile in a brummie accent I think.

janeite · 24/04/2010 18:24

Loving Atticus, Tristram, Horatio, Herminone - Zapostrophe.

vickyob · 24/04/2010 18:26

Clemantine, im expecting dd in July but dh just laughs at this.
