Don't know if these are already popular, but I'm hearing lots of children called:
Esme, Darcey, Dexter and Toby.
There's a big fashion for names with hyphens around here too.

A lot of these names are already quite popular though

Either a name needs to steadily climb up the charts, gaining popularity, until it is decreed too popular, OR something needs to give it a kick into people's consciousness, as happened with Isla (Fisher sp?), Darcy, Alfie etc.

I wonder also about names like Mary, Susan, Jane, Elizabeth etc. They are great names, especially together.

We are def due a resurgence of full names not abbreviations, imo.

Increasingly obscure old man/lady names.

Previously posh names - Augusta, Octavia and Araminta are being discussed on this board right now.

70s names have got to be due a come back. I've already heard of littler girls called Caroline, Suzanne and Diana. Michelle, Debbie, Wendy are coming any minute, I tell ya...

These names won't be popular but I thnk they are the next 'unusual' names to seem attractive to the urbane urban chic brigade.

Vivien, Sylvie, Margot, Belinda, Donna, Lois, Dulcie (dulcie is the new Esme,Sylvie is the new Sophie).

Penelope, Ophelia, Dorothea, Violet, Rosemary,Josephine, Elsie. Kitty and Florence already very popular in my town i know at least 4 of each

I am sad to see my 8 year olds name here (Iris), but hopefully she will be a teenager by the time it is massively popular.
I worry about Jean and Hilda. If i love them then the chances are that others do too and when my lo goes to school she will be in a class of 5 Hildas!

my unborn dc 2 will be sylvie because i have never heard of another one!

dc 1 is lily, which 50 billion other little girls are called. didnt want to make the same mistake.
