All the names I like seem to be nouns, so I need some inspiration for a middle name for Clover... (for my not-even-conceived-yet daughter!)

Wea re all horrid aren't we? . Seriously though i'd go for something strong not Clover Lily or Molly etc. - too weedy sounding.

ditto Flora or perhaps Olivio?

Mumsnut · 22/07/2009 14:57

constance

(Studiously ignoring all cow references...) Aha, we're thinking of Clover too (I say 'we' but I mean 'I' - husband yet to be overruled gently persuaded). So far my pref is for Clover Elise. Sort of depends on length of your surname, what it begins with, etc....

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 22/07/2009 15:02

oysterpots - they are all taking the mickey on here, but I SO wanted the name Clover for my DD.
Everyone put me off, but I think its really pretty.

Clover Faye
Clover Marie
Clover Dianne
Clover Faith

hocuspontas · 22/07/2009 15:04

Yes, definitely NOT Olivio if your surname is Williams

treedelivery · 22/07/2009 15:04

Clover Butter
Clover Bethan?
Clover Gracie?

oysterpots · 22/07/2009 15:05

I'll set my herd on you...

Lucky I'm not pregnant or you lot would probably have made me cry by now! I shall be smug in my knowledge that Clover won't be one of hundreds at nursery and school (as long as we don't live in the same catchment area, maniacbug ).

With a name like Clover I doubt anyone will worry what her middle name is...have you properly thought this through?

seaturtle · 22/07/2009 15:05

Awww.... I like this name. It reminds me of "Mosquito Coast" where the twins were called April and Clover. And despite April being my real name- please don't add that to Clover!

oysterpots · 22/07/2009 15:06

Thanks Light and treedelivery, not totally sold on any of those suggestions although it's making me think a 2-syllable name sounds best.

Does Clover Nico work?

hocuspontas · 22/07/2009 15:09

I think the other way - Clover Ann or Clover May or Clover Jane

ScummyMummy · 22/07/2009 15:10

What Katy Did's sister is called Clover. I always thought she was a sweetie. Shame about the margerine and cow connections, though. Can't help thinking it could lead to teasing, sadly.

LightShinesInTheDarkness · 22/07/2009 15:11

Nico is a boy's name?
