Don't worry I had the same response to my name as a kid. When my mum had just had me in hospital, a friend asked her my name and shouted "Why?" in disbelief. It's Lydia, by the way. Never did me any harm. Way more unusual back in the 80s (it's pretty popular now) and I really loved having a name that wasn't dull or everywhere. Your daughter will thank you in the end..
