Seraphie is beautiful,

BarnMummy · 17/07/2009 21:11

Doesn't end in "ie" I know, but depending on why you want that sound, Dominique or Veronique could work.

Also maybe Seraphine. Or Camille if you are prepared to go down to 2 syllables, or Anastasie if you can do 4!!

Oh dear, don't seem to have done very well on keeping to the brief, have I?

I think Magali, a variation of Margeurite, is gorgeous.

First post, so hello everyone.

Mercedes? (I've just seen it on another thread - it's pretty much the right sound at the end)

pureeandpearls · 17/07/2009 21:57

My daughter is called Cecily, and Orelie was on the shortlist.

No, Orelie, though that is one spelling.

And I did go to school with a Merrily.

As said on another thread, Magali(e) seemed to be the name of every girl, or at least every girl yelled at by parent, in the park/supermarket when I was a student in France in the early 90s. And, believe it or not, there are some names that don't sound 'pretty yet sophisticated' when screeched in a gutteral French accent (it's the g).
