Darcie is ok
Alicia is nice
Elouise is fine but I prefer Eloise

am not that keen on Aidan/Aiden but only because I know one and he's a wee pap sorry!

noddyintoyland · 09/07/2009 22:21

Darcie - ok
alicia - ok
elouise - This one is my favourite but like dizzy I prefer Eloise though!

Aiden/Aidan - ok prefer Aiden as the spelling. I know two and they are both mummy's boys

Lizzylou · 09/07/2009 22:23

Alicia = Slag
Sorry, personal experience

All other names nice

5inthebed · 09/07/2009 22:23

I prefer Darcie spelt D'Arcy, but it's a lovely name. So is Alicia and Elouise.

Aiden/Aidan is also lovely.

nomorecake · 09/07/2009 22:25

eloise
aidan

both lovely.
darcie/darcy sounds a bit pretentious to me.
alicia is ok, but eloise is much nicer.

LittleCheese · 09/07/2009 22:26

Thanks for quick replies also just decided we might quite like Toby

Love the name Eloise - but only with that spelling. (Wouldn't spell it Elouise)

Never personally been a fan of the name Darcie.

I have unfortunate associations with the name Alicia so can't be objective about that one!

Prefer Toby to Aidan

Scorpette · 10/07/2009 00:14

Darcie is sweet, but everyone will mention Mr D'arcy...

Do prefer Alicia, mind.

oh i love the name darcie! really love it. prefer it to the other 2. aiden is lovely for a boy too. i approve! (lol)

janeite · 10/07/2009 00:32

Eloise is gorgeous but looks weird with the 'u' in. I really like Darcy too (like this or with 'ey' not with 'ie') although lots of people on here hate it.

Don't like Alicia but love Alice.

Don't like Aidan.

janeite · 10/07/2009 00:32

Toby/Tobias = lovely.

ohfuschia · 10/07/2009 01:02

I love the name Eloise, agree it looks weird with an added 'u'.

Like the name Aidan with an a.

MamaLazarou · 10/07/2009 08:28

I agree, Eloise is much nicer than Elouise.

Alicia is nice unless it's pronounced Aleesha.

Aiden is lovely.

Darcie just makes me think of Mr Darcy.

BikeRunSki · 10/07/2009 08:41

Eloise
Aidan
Toby

All good.

Alice nicer than Alicia, but I am biased.
Darcie- no.

BunnyLebowski · 10/07/2009 14:42

Aidan is a great name (my dad's and brothers so might be biased ).

Only spelt that way though and the derivatives (Jayden, Braiden etc) are dreadful.

Don't like Darcie - it's a footballers wife baby name.

Eloise is lovely but not your spelling.

Alicia is okay.

slowreadingprogress · 10/07/2009 15:07

Aiden I don't like. Toby is lovely - go for that!

Alice is so much nicer than Alicia imo....softer and prettier....like Eloise. How about Elise?

MamaG · 10/07/2009 15:10

I like Toby and much prefer Alice to all three names you picked!

simplesusan · 10/07/2009 23:09

Love Darcie and Elouise-boith fab names.
Quite like Aiden too!!!!
Ps would spell it Eloise.

liliputlady · 11/07/2009 13:35

Like Darcy, there are loads of Alicias and pronunciation can be confusing, like Eloise and also just Louise - it's so pretty and rarely used these days - sadly didn't go with our surname.
Aiden's lovely. Toby sounds like a baby's name to me, not very manly.

NanaJo · 12/07/2009 04:54

Alice is so much nicer, prettier than Alicia in my opinion. Elouise looks like you didn't know how to spell Eloise. I love the name Darcie!

The only Aidan I know is an absolute little horror so I'm afraid rather negative about that name.

Karam · 12/07/2009 12:28

Love Eloise, but do not like the U in it. Not only does it make you look illiterate (which I'm sure you're not - but that won't stop other people forming judgements about you) but also that spelling makes me think Louse.

Really dislike Darcie - just too masculine a name for me.

Like Alicia, provided it is pronounced A-lis-cee-a and not A-lee-sh-a.

Like Aiden.

Toby makes me think Dog (I had a dog called Toby, so for me it will always be a dog's name!)

HTH

lljkk · 12/07/2009 12:34

The only Eloise I know is a little minx, kind of puts me off.
None of the others are my taste, sorry!! Toby is very popular around here, but agree with it being a poppet/little name, doesn't sound like a full grown strapping man's name.
