'Tis lovely. I considered it for dd (we chose another Shakespearean name in the end) but it was poor, thwarted Cordelia in Brideshead Revisited which deterred me.

MrsMattie · 21/05/2009 08:19

I like it. Cordy is a good nn.

PuppyMonkey · 21/05/2009 08:25

Cordelia lovely. Della for short.

missmiss · 21/05/2009 08:35

I love it, and all the nicknames people have mentioned

PuppyMonkey · 21/05/2009 09:17

You could even have Cora as a nn.

Sigh.

mickeylou · 21/05/2009 10:07

laughing at my own ignorance here - but the first thing that sprang to mind wasnt king lear but buffy the vampire slayer and angel.

fleacircus · 21/05/2009 10:11

I love it. DP hated it though so we don't have one.

MummyDragon · 21/05/2009 10:27

My parents were going to call me Cordelia but changed their minds ... the only Cordelia I know is called Cod by absolutely everyone.

I love the name though!

RachieB · 22/05/2009 16:05

It was my grandmothers name

Not keen for a baby today,I am not into the whole old peoples names trend !

Heated · 22/05/2009 16:21

minesacheeseandpicklesandwich · 22/05/2009 16:23

charliegal · 22/05/2009 16:30

It is lovely, I went to school with a Cordelia. (In Lancashire!)

suwoo · 22/05/2009 16:36

It's poncetastic, but I love it.

LaDiDaDi · 22/05/2009 18:18

I think it's fab. Would use Cordy as a nn.

WinkyWinkola · 22/05/2009 19:23

Beautiful name. Really.

mumtoxii · 22/05/2009 20:35

I have a Cordelia, and she is called Cordy for her nn, although my two year old calls her "DOOR"!

dizzydixies · 24/05/2009 22:08
