For a girl (obviously lol). Could shorten it to Kitty.

Which do you prefer?

Kitten Catherine
Kitten Elizabeth
Kitten Isobel
Kitten DeeDee
Kitten Seraphina
Kitten Cloud

None of them.

numal · 16/05/2009 23:03

Sorry no to all of them, Kitten for a child is just awful.

doesmybumlookbiginthis · 16/05/2009 23:04

sound like celeb babies names ie made up and awful

SoupDragon · 16/05/2009 23:05

You are naming a person for life, not just a baby.

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:05

but Kitten will be the new lawyer or bankers name come 2030. You'll see. I think I like Kitten Catherine the best actually.

Plonker · 16/05/2009 23:06

Kitty Cat?

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:06

Doodlina is made up. Kitten is a real word and Kitty for short is nice, isn't it?

diedandgonetodevon · 16/05/2009 23:07

Haa haa a sister for Bear perhaps. Is it silly name thread night tonight?!

SoupDragon · 16/05/2009 23:07

No, Kitten will be the child who was bullied mercilessly until she changed her name to Catherine.

Don't be cruel.

TheFallenMadonna · 16/05/2009 23:07

Kitten DeeDee??

You could call her Kitty, or even Catherine, and Kitten as a cutesy nickname. Please.

bigstripeytiger · 16/05/2009 23:08

If you are fixed on Kitten as a name, maybe it would give the child more flexibility to have it as a middle name, rather than a first name?

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:08

Plonker, that's genius. Kitty Catherine, Kitty Cat, I love it! That's such a beautiful, elegant name.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 16/05/2009 23:08

This would be a sister for Bear, then?

Do you really believe that Kitten Cloud is a name for a human being? I think you should abandon the idea of naming your children after a menagerie and pick names that are, well, names.

GrimmaTheNome · 16/05/2009 23:08

Oh no. If her brother is to be Bear, she should be something more like Lynx shouldnt she?

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:11

I think Lynx is a bit masculine. I think Tigress is absolutely beautiful though or Lion for a DS is just brill! Leo for short.

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:16

MadBadand Dangerous to know. I really like these other names. Any to your approval?

Delilah Dee

Saffron Bloom

Angel Cloud

Waneeka (no middle name for that one yet)

America Kiki

Dolly Rainbow

Kitten is a real word but it is a name for a baby cat. NOT a name for a baby

doesmybumlookbiginthis · 16/05/2009 23:19

I think you are a celeb or want to be one with these ridiculous names - your daughter would never forgive you

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:19

Baby cat, baby human, same thing. It's no biggie and it will make her stand out when at school/going for job interviews.

GrimmaTheNome · 16/05/2009 23:20

Chelsea is a real word but its the name of a part of London. Hasn't stopped people thus naming their DDs.

doesmybumlookbiginthis · 16/05/2009 23:21

How could you take anyone seriously with these names? She will stand out alright but maybe not in a good way

littleboyblue · 16/05/2009 23:22

This is a wind up isn't it?

GrimmaTheNome · 16/05/2009 23:22

If Kitten has a sister she could be Bunny I guess...Bear's brother could be ..hm, whats similarly big and hairy... yes, perfect, Yak!

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 16/05/2009 23:24

Lola - You asked for opinions and I gave mine. I'm sure you don't want me to pick your children's names for you and, as you have already realised, I don't go for the Sunshine Moonbeam kind of name.

For what it's worth, though, I do like flower names and so from your shortlist I'd pick Saffron. But Blossom rather than Bloom as a middle name, as Saffron Bloom sounds like Orlando's baby sister. (And he may still be famous by the time Saffron is born).

LolaTheShowgirl · 16/05/2009 23:25

I love the name Bunny but it will remind everyone of the playboy bunnies and it's inappropraite for a little baby.
