My fantasy boys name would be Inigo. And we have the surname Jones! I love it but sure that DP would veto.

DP's fantasy name (we had this discussion about boys names ageas ago whilst drunk and naming hypothetical babies) is Ra. Yes, Ra. Apparently it is the name of some Egyptian king/god/whatever. This is the result of letting DPs watch too much Discovery television .

Rockstar

Vetoed by /everyone/ for ds1. But I put up a good fight

RnB · 13/05/2009 16:25

dizietsma · 13/05/2009 18:07

Ignatius. Iggy for short. I love the idea of cuddling my little baby Iggy

DH wouldn't hear of it though

dizietsma · 13/05/2009 18:07

I love Augustus too. Baby Gus, awwwwww.

thell · 14/05/2009 10:44

Seth
Cameron (Cam for short)
Caius (Cai for short)
Benedict (becoming quite popular - I know 2!)
Asher

Good luck !!
Please let us know what you decide

BlueChampagne · 14/05/2009 12:25

Thorkell. Just wouldn't work with our surname though.

posieparker · 14/05/2009 12:27

I am pleased to say that my fantasy names were the ones I gave my boys..... let you know in 15 years or so how it worked out .

Lulabell · 14/05/2009 12:41

My dh has just vetoed Phineas even the threat of Fingolfin as my only other offer hasnt swayed him. Fingolfin is actually my very-deep-down favourite name of all , but I can't imagine it ever being appropriate to actually use it, very

annaje · 14/05/2009 18:16

I'm with Dallas on Xander and Seth - love both

I really wanted Bailey with my first DS - but wasn't allowed.

ChairmumMiaow · 14/05/2009 18:28

I wanted Sebastian, Gabriel or Benedict - none of which DH would hear of. Of course we both love Rowan that we did agree on. We don't know any others

triggerhappybaby · 19/05/2009 16:38

My DH has named the unborn Spartacus. He wanted a nice manly name (presumably not if its a girl). I believe it started out as a joke and we all had a laugh at the 'Hi, I'm Spartacus', 'No, I'm Spartacus' thing. Now I think he might be talking himself into it. I prefer Finn. In fact I prefer anything but bally Spartacus!!

Littlepurpleprincess · 19/05/2009 16:40

Marley. DP said no but if we ever have another boy, it will be Marley. I've decided.

I know an Atticus, RnB.

halia · 19/05/2009 21:00

Maxmillian (max)
Tobias (toby)
Montgomery (Monty)
Hamish (we used James as a middle name for DS)
Edward
Joshua
Garth
Finlay

Aurora911 · 20/05/2009 12:58

Adonis
Caspian
Cosmo
Espen
Leon
Linden
Odell

MarshaBrady · 20/05/2009 13:01

Bruno.
So cute, all time fave.

LoobyLaBoobs · 20/05/2009 13:01

i have an oliver

i also like noah and harley

wotulookinat · 20/05/2009 13:11

My first choice of name is really boring! I would love a son called Robert, but as DH's surname is Williams, it won't happen. sob sob

nooki · 20/05/2009 13:20

Quentin - our ds's name!

Fimbo · 20/05/2009 13:31

Struan or Campbell. Dh doesn't like either of them.

BlueChampagne · 21/05/2009 12:47

Lanner

It's a type of falcon but yet another name that won't work with our surname.

Astrophe · 23/05/2009 12:13

I really love Elmo - can't use it because Its too similar to DS's name (which has also featured on this thread!), and also because of sesame street connotations...but I really think its wonderful.

I also like Solomon and Theodore, but DH doesn't, sadly.

yama · 23/05/2009 12:17

Mac and Raphael.

frazzledoldbag · 24/05/2009 14:37

Dilemma over - baby frazzle is here and his name is HUGO. Delighted and thanks for all your input x
