Sorry, I know old man names are popular, but Walter? Please don't inflict that on an innocent baby!

I taught a wonderful Walter. A very kind, friendly boy, great conversationalist (for a seven year old at least!) and a pleasure to teach.
He had brothers Fred and Percy too!

''ave you been Walter?' - NellyPledge, 'Nearest and Dearest', 1970s sitcom.
Walter was a little brow-beaten middle-aged bloke who never spoke and his bowel habits were his wife's main topic of conversation.

duchesse · 06/04/2009 09:04

Old man with VERY big ears and brown crimplene trousers. Probably has an allotment.

midnightexpress · 06/04/2009 09:06

DP's oldest friend. Rather cool, as it happens.

Red and white striped jumper.

blowninonabreeze · 06/04/2009 09:15

The father of a close school friend - a truely lovely man who I'd be happy to name any future DS I may have, after!

coochicoo · 06/04/2009 09:25

Thanks for your honesty! Don't think I'll show dh the thread however as it kind of proves his point!! I haven't won him over with it yet...maybe he'll let me use it as a middle name.
