Elliot, Alexander or Edward? HELP?!

Due any day and do not have a clue. Surname rhymes with Collins. All these three names seem too popular now. Haven't really liked a boy's name from the start. Daughter is called Tilda and I was hoping for something to match it. Can anyone help?

Edmund rather than Edward?

MamaG · 09/03/2009 22:43

I like all of them (sorry).

DS1's middle name is Edward, DH's middle name is Elliot and DN is Alexander

Don't wrory about popular names. BabyG has a very popular name in the name lists, but I only know two others with the same name and they are older than him. Ditto DS1. Just pick a name you like.

If you go for Edward, he nmight get Ted - Ted & Tilda sounds sweet

SlartyBartFast · 09/03/2009 22:43

not keen on edward personally.

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:44

Ted and Tilda! Nice one. Think Edward is a bit posh though.

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:45

Edmund reminds me of the deceitful brother in Lion, Witch and Wardrobe...

Alexander is the strongest and most unlikely to date?

dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 22:46

I love them all

love Teddy as a nn for Edward when a baby though and Teddy and Tilda are sweet

snice · 09/03/2009 22:48

I would say Edward was the least common of the three- only one child I can think of in a school of 300.

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:51

Thanks! I'll just wait to see what he looks like. Ted is growing on me...

I think Elliot sounds "posher" than Edward

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 09/03/2009 22:53

Edward made me automatically think of the singer Edwin Collins but that just dates me as I think he was a one hit wonder

I love Edward and Alexander either of them.

Bleatblurt · 09/03/2009 22:53

Alexander!

I have one.

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:54

Edwyn Collins is the main reason we can't go for Edwyn! I love him too! Rudy was top fave but has been vetoed

OP posts:
lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:55

Alexander Rudy ?

OP posts:
MamaG · 09/03/2009 22:57

Don't have Alexander Rudy if your surname begins with S

dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 22:57

Rudy is such a FAB name too but still loving Ted and Tilda

MamaG · 09/03/2009 22:57

or M

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:57

Why not Mama G? (can't work it out)

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 09/03/2009 22:58

lizmcfizz · 09/03/2009 22:58
