Elliot, Alexander or Edward? HELP?!

Due any day and do not have a clue. Surname rhymes with Collins. All these three names seem too popular now. Haven't really liked a boy's name from the start. Daughter is called Tilda and I was hoping for something to match it. Can anyone help?

Edward is our name if bump turns out to be male in a frightening 19 days time!

I have only taught 2 Edwards in 15 years, but mate who teaches in a posho grammar school is inundated with them.

Edward shortens so well: Ted, Teddy, Ned, Ed, Eddie or even Ward if you feel all transatlantic. The only negative connotations are the Eddie character from Rocky Horror as played by Meatloaf. I just know I'm going to end up singing "when Eddie said he didn't like his teddy you knew he was a no good kid..." to the poor lamb.

Edmund will always be Blackadder the First, with bowl cut and codpiece. I am a product of 1980s teendom.

all nice torn between Edward or Elliot as favourites.I think Edward would be more versatile as regards to who he might be when he was older. If you know what I mean?
