Roscoe.

posh but not pretentious
unusual but not wtf
quirky like 0 and 0
Scottish

Lysander is nice but a bit poetic. I see his long fingers and think how beautiful they must look playing the piano. I bet he always carries foolscap and a biro around, to jot down his thoughts.

Campbell is ok. Bit too soupy for me! sorry. I don't like Erin for the same reason.

If not Roscoe, then Bruce (after Parry not springsteen) and Donald or Victor. Victor not Scottish, but it has a lot of good attitute. Not bad attitude!

Did you go off Grey short for Gregor?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

so he was lynette - the dim one bless him!

LynetteScavo · 10/03/2009 13:21

Lochie? - is that how you spell it?

MUM41plus5 · 10/03/2009 13:25

a few others with Scottish origins we considered were...

Iagan (pronounced Egan)
Leathan
Kade
Calan

Some of these were chosen as much for the meaning as the name which I think is always good if a name has personal meaning.

Fimbo · 10/03/2009 13:27

I would have left by the time he started Frazzled, so wouldn't know him.

Murray

frazzledoldbag · 10/03/2009 13:32

oh well fimbo - disappointed now - was having fun trying to work out who you might be that I might know! Do you still live round here then or have you migrated?

dizzydixies · 10/03/2009 13:42

I DO!!! well, across the bridge

frazzledoldbag · 10/03/2009 13:47

Ooooh, very nice. You don't want to buy a house in Crail by any chance then? (am building there at the mo).......
[slips in cheeky bit of free advertising there, hope nobody noticed!]

dizzydixies · 10/03/2009 13:51

we were there last week before going to Cambo

Fimbo · 10/03/2009 13:54

Just checking - it was/is Harris Academy in Dundee? (can't imagine many schools with the name Harris).

I have migrated to the dizzy heights of Norwich. My parents live behind the Invercarse Hotel and my pil in Wormit

Fimbo · 10/03/2009 13:56

I went on my first ever Brownie holiday to Crail.

dizzydixies · 10/03/2009 14:04

Fimbo, we're off the bride the other way but in wormit a lot

Fimbo · 10/03/2009 14:08

We are going up for Easter, I shall wave in your direction Dizzy. My pil live underneath the railway bridge (they are not trolls, honest!)down near the stoney beach.

dizzydixies · 10/03/2009 14:11

oh how lovely! you'll need to wave hard though as we'll be in Ireland

thumbwitch · 10/03/2009 22:27

frazzled, what about Lennox?

frazzledoldbag · 11/03/2009 10:31

nah, makes me think Lennox Lewis immediately. Not keen, sorry.

thumbwitch · 11/03/2009 12:09

well that's fair enough - it came to me while I was watching Annie Lennox on the One Show and the only person I could think of was Lennox Lewis as well!

Josiepie · 11/03/2009 18:17
