I know a Taryn.

It's ok but she has to spell it to people a lot.

LuckySalem · 06/03/2009 16:01

I dont know of a Tarryn but its a lovely name. I'd expect you'd have to spell it alot as well.

strictmumof3 · 06/03/2009 17:02

Oh, never heard it but it is gorgeous, i used to babysit a Talon but he was a boy.

the more i say it the more i like it.

LavenderStar · 06/03/2009 17:03

Depends what kind of names you like ... it's very modern.

Podrick · 06/03/2009 17:04

I like it but I think it suits a boy better and I would spell it Tarrin!

Flightattendant27 · 06/03/2009 17:04

Tarrin for a boy, yes, my friend has one.

Lulumama · 06/03/2009 17:07

loler · 06/03/2009 17:16

I thought it was a boys name too.

Not sure for a girl.

ShowOfHands · 06/03/2009 17:16

charlie1000 · 06/03/2009 17:52

My DS1 has a Tarrin in his class. It's a boy. Haven't heard it as a girl's name but actually I kinda like it

atowncalledalice · 06/03/2009 17:59

I'm fairly sure it's a Welsh boys' name. It's lovely for a boy!

CilC · 06/03/2009 19:17

This was quite popular/common in Australia about 20 years ago as a girl's name. I taught many! Hmmm... never really liked it though - sorry.

dizzydixies · 06/03/2009 21:35

I know of a female Taryn too

MoshiMoshi · 06/03/2009 22:06

Not heard of it before and am a bit averse to names which require help in spelling.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 06/03/2009 22:08

I know a Taryn (female, not a girl as she's about 25 now!)

hester · 06/03/2009 22:10

I was at school with a Taryn - so she'll be in her 40s now. Nice name, I think.

pramspotter · 07/03/2009 08:51

I also went to school with a Taryn. She was gorgeous and popular and everyone always wanted to hang out with her.

ScummyMummy · 07/03/2009 09:02

There was a Sweet Valley High book featuring a love-starved, materially spoilt little rich girl called Tarryn, who lived in Malibu and was au paired by the twin main characters during a summer vacation.

that I read such crap and still remember it.

Hulababy · 07/03/2009 09:05

Never heard of the name so no idea if by/girl.
Not keen personally.

SmallShips · 07/03/2009 15:59

I went to school with two Taryns, one male, one female.

Not sure if i like it for either TBH.
