Surname type names for DC3

I'm surprising myself by starting a thread in this topic but as this pregnancy progresses I am finding myself thinking about names more and more...

I currently have 2 DSs - Harrison James and Austen John. I don't know (yet!) whether DC3 is a girl or a boy but I wanted a name in keeping with my sons' names. Currently I am thinking about either Darcy/Darcey or Lauren for a girl (middle name will be Rachel) but am really struggling for boys names.

DH can't think about it until much nearer the time/baby actually born other than to veto all my suggestions so he's not much use!

Any suggestions?

Taylor was my maiden name and one friend in particular has suggested that for both DSs! DH not keen though...

I really like Lawrence as I think Laurie is so cute for a boy. Unfortunately our next door neighbour's boy has this name and whilst we're not great friends and nor will be living next door to them forever it will make me think of him rather than my own DS. I'm wondering if I can get past this though...

If you want a surname type name, why not have a look back through your family history to see if there's any names you could use there, maybe one of your grandmothers maiden names? My mum suggested to me that we call this bump Nolan as that was her grandmother's maiden name. We won't be using it, but I like the idea of incorperating a bit of family history into a name.

AnathemaDevice - I agree. In fact DS2 has a surname from my family history (my father's grandmother was Danish) as his third name. My maternal grandfather is called Leo or Len and his father was Leon. If DC3 is a girl I want to call her Leone as a third name. We have toyed with Leon in the past as a third name but it's the name of one of our cats!!!

Cameron???

ds1 recently played football against a team containing twins Mason and Tyler. Though we did think that used together they sounded like the parents were starting a building company!

Also know an Ellis, which is more often seen as a surname, and goes quite well with your existing two.

LunarSea - at the twins!

Thank you for your suggestions. I like Ellis too . I also like Dexter but not sure now after Charlotte Church choosing it for her boy - it might become mega-popular like Ruby!
