violet is fab. my dd is tabitha, bots would have been clementine (clemmy) and matilda (tilda) I'm not overfond of flora tbh, but you know what? your baby. call her whatever you like. just tell DH thats what it is half way through labour, he will probably agree. ;)

I love Flora, appropriately shortened to Flo in my DSs' friend's experience. But what DOES DH like?

I know a little girl called Flora and until I met her I wasn't very keen but now I think it's adorable. I do know someone (friend's sister in law) who called their little girl Flora Dora. Less good IMO.

I have one. She is fab and IMO its a lovely, strong name.
People who say 'ooh like the margarine' just get a freezing stare from me. And who on earth eats margarine anyway? It's revolting. (sorry I digress)

And no it won't bring the marg to mind; any more than a child called Felix makes you think of cat food.

I know one Flora who is 6.

I also like Florence.

I love it. Only last night I was thinking if I were to have a girl (not that I'm planning on any more babies at all, but I like to be prepared ) that I would choose Flora.
