Need some inspiration for a middle name to go with Poppy. Any ideas?

Poppy Marie sounds lovely.
Also:
Poppy Elizabeth,
Poppy Catherine.

Are there any nice names in your family you could use.

CeceliaAhern · 15/02/2009 11:01

Poppy Louise

Poppy Elizabeth is nice. Our surname begins with M so wouldn't choose Marie, even though it's lovely.

Poppy Marie was what sprung into my mind when reading the thread title too

I think Poppy Marie M..... sounds pretty. I think the only surname that would go with Poppy Marie would be anything beginning with T or S!

The second name to pop into my head is Poppy Eden, although appreciate my tastes are quite hippyish! Just seems to fit.

agree with belgo that tend to go with family or sentimental names for middle names, as they're rarely used in British culture, I see them as the place to put names you'd like to use to honour family members or places/occasions etc but don't want them as first name for personal or practical reasons (like if I ever have a daughter I want her to be called June after my grandmother who is a fantastic woman, however our surname is also a single-syllable beginning with J and I don't like it with June, so my first-born daughter WILL have June as a middle name!

seed?

sorry
tis a lovely name,
good suggestions here

GreenGables · 15/02/2009 12:22

I second poppy Elizabeth, perhaps it is a character from a book or something, but that is the first name that came to mind, and nothing else seems to go with it for me.

There is also the addition with a 'classic' name for Poppy to revert to it if she decides she doesn't like Poppy when she is grown.

SamsMama · 15/02/2009 12:23

Christine? That's my middle name
I think Poppy Louise is nice too, as well as Poppy Sophia and Poppy Leigh

Poppy Alice
Poppy Belinda
Poppy Eveline

chuckieegg2008 · 15/02/2009 14:07

I like Poppy Rose or Poppy Willow

barnsleybelle · 15/02/2009 14:18

Poppy Grace

belgo · 15/02/2009 14:28

oh please not Poppy may or Poppy Rose or grace. So predictable. Agree with Greengables about having a classic name as a middle name.

TooFoggy · 15/02/2009 17:46

Poppy Alexandra
Poppy Euphemia
Poppy Anastasia
Poppy Lydia
Poppy Alicia

most names ending in a really

Leo9 · 15/02/2009 17:55

agree with belgo - avoid May/Mae, Rose, and Grace PLEASE. Every girl under ten has those names for a middle name!

I think though I love names like Catherine and Elizabeth they are a slight mismatch with Poppy - too grand.

I honestly think that the slightly 'hippy' options sound best though i would not normally choose them at all -

Poppy Willow is just beautiful
Poppy Eden good too.
Also Like Poppy Louise alot.

Poppy Alice also good.

lollystar · 15/02/2009 17:59

Poppy Louise
Poppy Elizabeth
Poppy Marie
All already suggested but I think they sound lovely together
