I have a friend who swears on a stack of bibles that an aquantance of hers named Mr and Mrs Royd named dd Emma and couldn't understand her shock at hearing this.

Another friend swears a child in the primary she works in is Giselle Onions. (Repeat it, and don't try and pronounce it all French like)

Also, in Stoke dialect, it you can't do something you say "I conner...". So why are there 2 kids in her school called Connor Cook and Connor Cope?

I was taught by a Sylvia Birch, but that was a cruel twist of marriage.

I have a surname which makes the say it aloud method essential.

Any other corkers out there.

I particularly like the baby who was innocently named Nancy Ann. The problem being that her surname was Seancy.
