I'll go first: DD was very nearly Sapphire.

I also really wanted Twm for a boy (Welsh for Tom), but I am not Welsh! I just thought it was fab to have a name with no vowels!

Trinity - very boring surname, and thought this would go rather well. There have turned out to be just the three of us, so it would have been quite appropriate (DH's colleague actually used it for his third child, which is differently appropriate).

Xeni - 'little stranger', quite appropriate for any baby! Pre-MN days for me, so no Xenia connotations!

Bumperlicious · 27/12/2008 10:40

Where would I have heard the name T'Panga before? I'm thinking TV programme...?

Loving Fushia!

ClementFreudsGreatestAdmirer · 27/12/2008 10:43

alicecrail · 27/12/2008 10:51

I wanted Freya too, not allowed. I quite like Bronwen too and Tahlia. Husband had final say and it was none of the above (but very nice all the same!)

ruty · 27/12/2008 10:52

Evangeline.

NorkyButNice · 27/12/2008 10:57

Jasper or Felix.

And no, I wasn't expecting a cat...

MrsWeasleyStrokesSantasSack · 27/12/2008 10:57

georgimama · 27/12/2008 17:03

I wanted Rufus for DS. It is his middle name though.

I haven't given up on Orlando or Ptolemy if we have another son.

lilLAURAand4poorlykids · 27/12/2008 17:47

well i have dd1Zarah, dsTaylor, dd2Libby-jaine and dd3 is Ashlee

i wanted to call Taylor Axel or Harley but got shot down with those straight away by dh
he was going to be called summer if he was a girl

dd2 i wanted willow but wasnt allowed that either

but i was allowed to name dd3 although she nearly ended up without a middle name but i pushed for that too

chatname · 27/12/2008 17:52

Aneurin (I'm a half Welsh, lefty, NHS worker). DH vetoed it though.

cece · 27/12/2008 17:54

Sidney

Alathea/Althea

Wesley

DH vetoed my boys names and I had a boy so couldn't use Alathea/Althea

frankbestfriend · 27/12/2008 17:59

Araminta, Minty for short. Dh would not be budged though

Someone told me recently that there is a bufoon type character on Eastenders named Minty, so perhaps dh did dd a favour after all
