Help please I need some inspiration for girls' names. Her middle name will be Rosemary for my Gran and the first name can't end in an "e" sound due to our surname. Any ideas?

I think your list is lovely.

I might just slightly jig it by making Mia short for Amelia and Poppy short for Penelope but other than that, lovely and goes with Xavier.

There was a Poppy Annabel in the times yesterday and I thought, hmmm, I'm sure that was a mumsnetter, that combo seems familiar.

Saskia and Allegra are Vanessa Feltz' dds. Maybe she will have another called Katya with husband number two.... peut etre??

MrsMcJnr · 22/11/2008 22:28

Hey Jules no just 13 weeks+ but am in Spain and I know the sex already due to fabby equipment still jabbing yes, how are you???!!

Pirate - 3 sylables, starting with Mc funnily enough

Plonker - love Mia but we live in Spain and it means something rude plus I have a cat called Tia I like unusual names more than traditional ones I guess.

Should have said actually, as we are in Spain we need a name that "works" in Spanish too which can be tricky.

Lockets - Thea is nice but too like Tia

Thenews - my cousin is Amelia and not keen on Penelope sorry!

differentID · 22/11/2008 22:34

For some reason the name Cora jumped out at me.

Juanita
Margarita
Carmen
Carlotta
Patricia/Patrizia

Paquita

Letitia
Larissa
Isabella

TheNewsMongrel · 22/11/2008 22:43

I like Flora, Clara, Maribel, Anabel although these are more fashionable in the UK than in Spain. Maybe women are called these names in spain, not babies??

Spanish babies called yucky names like Nuria. Sorry to mums of nurias.

MrsMcJnr · 22/11/2008 22:43

not there yet ladies, keep them coming!

I like Savana and Allegra but DH doesn?t. I loved Ava but I gave that name to my lost angel

LOL Lucky ? you KNOW I still love the name Aaliyah!

Sneaker ? oh dear! We told dr we only wanted to know if he was very sure, and he pointed out how he was so hopefully he?s right but if not I have a boy?s name anyway! funnily we never had problems finding boys? names! So glad your DD is amazing so is my DS, I couldn?t be happier. Spain is good and I am taking care of Xavier full time and I feel so lucky to have precious time with him I really mean it when I say that I?m so glad to hear your pain is fading xx

Leonora, Lídia, Sílvia, Paloma.

AGain, these are names perceived to be Spanish that would work over here. They might raise eyebrows for being dated in Spain... ??
