Only ever heard of one other before - Marmaduke Hussey - BBC??? if my memory serves me right.

You are joking. Or you intend to send your child to Eton to mix with people called Peregrine.

zookeeper · 17/09/2008 11:30

verging on the abusive; pretentious beyond words, awful awful awful awful. Please don't even think of it.

frazzledoldbag34 · 17/09/2008 11:32

Marmalade
(that's ONE of the nicknames I would fear for him)

frazzledoldbag34 · 17/09/2008 11:33

Ok if it's a labrador though.
Or even for a beagle.
But for a baby.....?????

OneLieIn · 17/09/2008 11:43

MadameCastafiore · 17/09/2008 13:22

Maybe for a big dog but not a child!

He will get called Marmalade at school - would be hilarious if he had bright red hair though.

Only if you are quite sure he will be educated at the country's "best" schools.

Otherwise it would be tantamount to murder.

And it would probably end up shortened to Duke.

LouMacca · 17/09/2008 13:31

Hideous. I can't believe that this is a serious post.

troubledfriend · 17/09/2008 13:33

You must be joking surely
