The girl's name Naomi \na(o)-mi\ is pronounced nay-OH-mee. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "pleasant". Biblical: an ancestress of Jesus and mother-in-law to Ruth

Naomi is ubercool!

And then there's Miriam & Judith and Eva.

All of which are just great.

Weegiemum · 02/09/2008 19:23

I love the Spanish for of Naomi, Nohemi (pronounced no-hem-ee) but you would really have to be spanish to carry it off I think?

You can't be due already!!

I like Rebecca, Rachel, Anna, Hannah, Sarah, Elizabeth, Joanne, Martha, Esther, Miriam, Dorcas, Tabitha and I really like Lois.

Elizabeth is great but would end up Lily, Beth, Lizzy etc etc in our family.
