...nothing.
She has it as a main contender with Ruth and Susannah. None of them are my style but Hilda I find hideous.
Is it fair to try and put her off, is there a chance it will come back in fashion?
Does anyone here actually like Hilda?

The name 'Hilda' calls to mind a buxom lass with plaits, a short dungeree-skirt thing and socks pulled up to the knee with sensible walking shoes.

I've got a dd2 called Mathilda. Is that OK?

You can all bugger off if it's not, I love it.

(Quite like Edith too actually, but dh & ds BOTH have names starting Ed, so it wasn't going to happen...)

I like Hilda.
Was my grandmother's name - although I also knew someone when I was a teenager called Hilda and it really suited her.

I had a good friend in school named Hilda, would be ok by me.
I think it'd be okay to say "Hilda is okay but Susannah is FAR nicer".
