(no,make that Love actually) Rozalie Aurora Sales for my DD.

I like it alot,

I haven't worked up the courage to say it to DH as he will just go 'meh' like with the other 4,000 names I have mentioned.

with a z ? I like it with an s !

Imnotok · 21/08/2008 19:44

Rozalie is nice

artichokes · 21/08/2008 19:45

It is pretty but to be honest I prefer the classic spelling of Rosalie (i.e. with a 's's not a 'z'). Do you want it pronounces Roz-a-lee or Rose-a-lee?

Is Sales your surname or a middle name?

DisenchantedPlusBump · 21/08/2008 19:47

Sales is my surname,

I want RoZalie because lots of people say rose -alie,when you use an 's' but i like rozz-alie, if you see what I mean.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 21/08/2008 20:12

It doesn't help that my 2 year old was bought some new vests and I showed him them and he said ' for Lydia??'

In the sweetest voice ever!!

Theres just so much I love about it, but things i don't like too.

ahhh thats sweet why not wait and see what she looks like, not just when she is first born but after youve got over the initial shock, then you'll know. Dont let people rush you either, they will all ask far too soon.

Lydia Rozalie Sales?

Lydia Rozalie is nice

I suppose I could do Rosalie and just keep telling everyone how i wnat it pronounced,

I liked Ariana but there was something I oculdn't place until I mentioned it to my DH and he reminded me that I had a rabbit called Mariana so Ariana sounds bunnish to me, lol.

Is Rozalie made up? Rosalie is a lovely name (Rose-a-lee), but Rozalie sounds a bit Jerry Springer. Aurora is a lovely name.

artichokes · 21/08/2008 20:23

Oooh - I love Lydia and Ariana.
I am still not convinced by the Z in Rozalie it makes it look like a misspelling. However, my view may be because I prefer the pronounciation Rose-alie and do not like the nickname Roz.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 21/08/2008 20:25

Its on baby name sites, not that the fact gives it much credentials! Theres some very odd names on some of them. lol

Its just listed as a varient of 'Rose' or 'Rosalie'

See but YOU would say 'Rose-a-lie' Mrsmattie, but i like the roZalie sounds, not rosealie.

But prefer the look of Rosalie, but with more of a zzz

MrsMattie · 21/08/2008 20:27

Ok, I get you@Disenchanted. I think you might struggle with getting people to pronounce it properly, to be honest, although if you really love it, who cares?

DisenchantedPlusBump · 21/08/2008 20:29

She would NOT be called Roz

Umlellala · 21/08/2008 20:38

Disenchanted,
love Lydia. Love Arianna.
Rozalie to me looks wrong as I would want to say Rose-a-lee or Roz-a-lye (don't know why) but think the sound of it (Roz-a-lee) is luvver-ly. Roz is cool!

Oh, and Aurora is gorge too (me n you have similar 'feel' for names I think - Lydia is cousin's name.boo. do you not like Ariadne though?)

DisenchantedPlusBump · 21/08/2008 20:42

My sons name can be shortened to something i hate too, people have said it once and never again, I can be scary when i want to be! lol
