I think it's a pretty name. Does anyone agree? Or should I put it down to mad pregnant moment?

I didn't know it was a name-it sounds made up. Why not have Eve Violet? They would probably get called envelope!

Eleta · 10/08/2008 08:17

It's from a film. It probably is made up, but then all names have been at some point.

it sounds like some kind of medicine/cream

DaisyBuchanon · 10/08/2008 08:23

I'm with cardy - it does sound vaguely medicinal. Something you'd get from the chemists'. Violet is lovely, though.

superloopy · 10/08/2008 08:38

No.

BellaBear · 10/08/2008 08:40

Which film is it from?

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/08/2008 08:40

Sounds like a toilet cleaner.

BreeVanderCampLGJ · 10/08/2008 08:42

Sounds like a contraceptive.

JonahTakalua · 10/08/2008 08:43

CoteDAzur · 10/08/2008 08:50

It's from '10,000 BC'.

Are you sure you want to name your daughter after a fictional primitive human?

ninedragons · 10/08/2008 08:50

Mad pregnancy moment. What about Evelyn? Violet?

Roboshua · 10/08/2008 08:58

ThatBigGermanPrison · 10/08/2008 12:21

Sounds like a brand of contraceptive pill, sorry. And that was my first thought, before I read the thread.

Janni · 10/08/2008 12:22

I've never heard it before and it sounds like a product you'd buy at the chemist's.

Janni · 10/08/2008 12:22

How about Elodie, if you like that sort of name?

moondog · 10/08/2008 12:23

Lol at responses. I too thought it sounded like amedicine. For summat fungal.

solo · 10/08/2008 12:40

I think it sounds like a tampon too, Lillet? sorry.

lizinthesticks · 10/08/2008 14:14

It's like a japanese pronunciation of kenny everett.

bristols · 10/08/2008 14:17

Am not keen. But I love Elodie, as suggested by Janni. (Pronounced El-oh-die rather than like Melody without the 'M') WOuld have had that name for DC2 had he not turned out to be a boy!!
