I like Oscar. Dd2's little best friend is called this and really suits him. I might choose a different (shorter) middle name myself, but there again, you won't be calling his full name out much will you?

Geeky!! My son is called Oscar and it suits him perfectly. It'll suit him right from being a shrivelled up little old man newborn right through to true shrivelled up little old man years. It's a good, strong name with just the right hint of cheekiness to it. Go for it!

Oscar is a brilliant name. I like Elliot a lot too.

I agree with OiMum - it is not the slightest bit geeky. All the Oscars I have known have been strong characters and rather cool. My DD (aged 16 months) is a bit in love with a little boy called Oscar at the moment (she feeds him and they cuddle each other - so cute).

I really like the name and would spell it Oscar. My friend has an Oscar and he is know as Oz.
Go for it as goes well with Elliot too

I love it, and want it if DC3 is a boy - hubby not too keen.

Stick witht the Oscar spelling - he will end up having to spell his surname a lot, doesn't need to correct spellings of his first name too.

What am I on about?

Oscar was rare when I chose it 5 years ago. Now every toddler group has at least 2 Oscars. I liked my DS having a slightly unusual name. Oh, well.
