Have only read OP but my niece is Lydia Kate and a friend's little girl is Lydia Grace. Think I like the latter best.

If she's due at Christmas, how about Lydia Natalia?

Maybe too many "ia" endings though.

I was almost called Lydia Kate but it didn't go with our surname. Was going to be after my mum's grandmother.

DS3 was going to be Lydia Sinead (named after a friend of ours)

Lydia Mary lovely as well. Grace works well too.

Grace or Eleanor?

Sorry but I have to also say 'teapot' (get it - 'Lydia teapot' - say it quickly! Maybe you need a scottish accent to fully appreciate this one). Groan! Sorry again. I do love the name Lydia really.

What about a family surname as a middle name?

If this dc2 is a girl and is called Lydia, which is very likely, she will be Lydia Violet.

Lydia Violet sounds very nice.

I love Lydia Rachel. Kind of agree with Holidays that a middle should have some meaning to you though. I also like

Lydia Victoria
Lydia Tamara
Lydia Jane (popular mn but quite classy imo)

The OPs Lydia will be 2 and half by now, I'd imagine she's probably settled on one. Grin

Zombie thread (although a very nostalgic one as my Lydia was 5 when I originally posted!)

Oh sod it, why do I never notice? I wouldn't mind, but I know what she called her DD and I still waded in :o
