Anne is unusual, but I would put a name that starts with a consonant not a vowel after lydia, and preferably, a name that doesn't also end in 'a'.

Lydia Jane or Lydia Margaret sound good imo. Rose is ubiquitous as a mn, so I will suggest Rosemary. Lydia Rosemary. That is more my cup of tea (with a cucumber sandwich).

Lydia Maggie, Lydia Beth? What are your family names.

Anna, Annie, Alice, Emily, none of those are going to work because the vowel sounds run in to eachother.

Teapot? Sorry, couldn't resist! I think Lydia is a beautiful name but had a girl in class at school who was always nicknamed Lydia Teapot (or dustbin) ...

What about your christian name, your mum's or his mum's name or another family name you like? Or your maiden name (obviously depending on what it is?
Or do you not have a second choice first name for Lydia that you can use as a second name?
There are masses of lovely names out there that would sound good ..... I'd definitely chooose a second name.
Love Lydia by the way. It's fab. (and on my list too!!!)

By the way the other names on my list would be:
Topaz
Felicity
Eliza
Christabel
Annabella
Matilda
Emerald
Scarlett
Daisy
Esme
Camilla
I'll probably have a boy though
You can still call a boy Christabel though can't you???

Anyway those are my thoughts......for what they're worth

I agree with whomever said it.....why have a middlename aat all?
My boys all have 2 mn's, however, they are all names with family connections....however, I have no mn and well, I am o.k., lol....Lydia Sales sounds like a lovely name

That is a lovely list. LOVE all of them except for the ones I just like!

As well as Christabel, I like Maribel. What do you think? NOW< I like Marianne, but it wouldn't have excited me 6 yrs ago. Now I like it. Marianne Christabel with Maribel for short!

Maribel is pretty.
Although it kind of makes me think of the ski resort - Meribel?

The first name that sprang to mind was Lydia Marie

Also how about:

Lydia Francesca
Lydia Victoria
Lydia Megan
Lydia Hannah

Not keen on Lydia Anne ...it sounds like Lydia Ran (ran where? etc)

I can also see your point about Lydia no 'L' ...wouldn't let it put you off if you really like it though

I am Lydia Fay. It has nice meter for silly rhymes as in:

Lydia Lydia Lydia Fay
What are you going to do today?

and a plethora of others my obviously bored mother made up...

I am a Lydia Fay and it has a great meter for silly rhymes if you are that way inclined. As in:

Lydia Lydia Lydia Fay
What are you going to do today?

and a plethora of others that must have been said to me so often as a wee one...

Also the French version Lydie is v pretty and maybe gives more scope for longer middle names...
