I used to look after a baby girl called Steel.

There was a little boy who went to our playgroup called Braxton.

Dh and I once looked round a nursery for dd and there was a little girl who attended called Loveday.

The name Loveday came from a Rosamunde Pilcher book/tv programme i think The oddest name i have come across is DISNEY!!!

I know of a baby girl whose middle name is 'Jeebus' after Homer Simpson's mispronunciation of Jesus.

Loveday is a traditional Cornish name IIRC

My mum wanted to call me Summer-Sky but probably spelt Summa-skye as this was 1973 & she was an 18 year old hippy! The registrar took one look at her & said "Your daughter will probably hate you when she grows up", so I was registered Sarah!! Would probably have liked it when I was mid-teens or at Uni, but probably not if I'd grown up with it. THANK YOU MUM!

Oh forgot, know of a couple in my area who named her girls after their cars. No Joke.

There was someone at my old job, never met him but used to see it on emails, called Rusty Armour! Never found out if it was his real name or just a nickname though.

Also there was something in the papers a few years back about a couple in some remote corner of Italy (one of the islands I think) who had called their daughter Salmonella Bacteria!! Apparently they had read it somewhere, had no idea what it meant but thought it sounded nice... gulp....

I met a boy called Niven the other day, which I thought was lovely. But then my DS has an unusual name (which has been mentioned on here!), so I guess I'm out of step with the MN consensus

What name is it derelict? I'm intrigued now

Wanted Skye-Blu, ended up with Chynna-Skye, some of us LOVE unusual names.

Armani, Versace, Zennell, and Somer. Also Tyler Tyler, not that unusual a name but first and last name the same.

Neolara - just seen your post from hours ago. Not sure if you're still reading this thread, but what a small world!!! Can't be many other siblings with those particular names, must be the same ones. I actually knew Boudicca and not her brother. Are you from 'round there' then?

G2B - the name is unusual enough to out me in RL to any friends/acquaintances on here, but if you're really committed to sleuthing, you could probably cross-reference the names on here with old baby name threads (That'll sort the wheat from the chaff).
