Just read the link about poor talula the hula, but cant understand why the judge didnt just order it to be left as just Talula instead of a completely different name?

two girls that live by me.
one is summer - fair enough - but the sister is "winter".

I kind of like it, but it is a little odd.

emmaapple · 06/08/2008 15:48

Boy named Trafford and boy named Crawley (not after the place just because no-one else had it!).

ivykaty44 · 06/08/2008 18:45

Loriycs - because the girl hated her name the whole of her name and wanted to be called something else that wasn't silly, keeping half her silly name wasn't an option as once it went to court every one would no that talula was talula the hula - so would still take the p*ss. At least the judge was kind to her in her embarresment

I also know a shithead (pronounced shi-thay-ed)

My sister Sam and husband Tyson wanted to name their son Nelson, but thought it sounded like a pack of German Shepherd dogs, so called him Indigo Nelson instead!

Nursed a baby Savannah Breeze (Girl)

Sisters up the road are Precious, Faith & Meek.

wonderstuff · 18/08/2008 19:55

I like a lot of these names!
I have taught a J.J. - boy it wasn't short for anything
Wayne - girl, (obviously not english)poor thing always find out about foreign names before giving them to children, you never know where you might end up!
I went to school with Marlon Brando, his brothers were Errol Flynn Brando and Johnnie Brando, his dad had changed his name to Brando by deedpoll. Luckly Errol was quite hard so no one EVER took the micky.
At baby group at the moment there is a Xander and Django.
I have heard of twins Dolce and Gabanna
