sasha was on our short list. Lovely name.

But word of warning - if Barack Obama becomes president, he has a daughter named Sasha, which means it might get more popular, if that makes a difference to you?

It's ok, but I think in some countries it's a boy's name.

I like it - dd is Kasia - pronounced the same but with a K

for a girl.....I am struggling to think of a middle name to go with it though.......

I like it. Maybe it could be a nn for Saskia, which is very elegant but a little harsher than Sasha which is very soft and pretty. Would avoid any long term bratz problems too.

I wouldn't worry about it being a Russian boy's name. i think it's common and well known enough in Britain for it to be a girl's name. It's far too pretty to keep it exclusively for boys.
