LuLuBai · 27/06/2008 10:52

Tabitha is beautiful. It would be on my list if we didn't have close friends with one.

My little princess is called Saffron, i hav'nt come across any other Saffrons (yet),
My other little girl has a common name but she loves it when she finds someone with the same name as her.

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 11:44

twinsnikki, please tell me your post was a joke, those names were not unusual, just spelt wrong.

How about
Clara
Susannah
Jane
Elspeth

dreamymum · 27/06/2008 11:45

i like Melissa and Anya as well
I don't really connect to Tabitha it kind of reminds me of the world lethargy

My dd is Aphra after Aphra Behn...

Haven't met many others, but it is a 'proper' name iykwim (there are 16 members on the facebook group!). My ds-to-be is to be called Skyler (which is also a girls name - Skylar).

LuLuBai · 27/06/2008 12:23

Yes Nervousal - I like Kasia a lot too but would hesitate before using it as those I have known have found the constant mispronounciation (Kass-EYE-ah) rather trying.

SquiffyHock · 27/06/2008 15:42

I love Talia/Thalia but is it 2 or 3 syllables?? It sounds silly but I said 2, DH said 3 and that was the only reason we didn't use it for DD. I had visions of her in primary school when they have to beat out their name... Daft, I know

Also love Natalya / Natalia

sweetkitty · 27/06/2008 16:14

It's Tah-lee-ah so 3 syllables

It's Hebrew means dew from heaven, I have had people mispronounce it Tal-ya though which annoys me but I love the name now and it so suits her.

When people hear it they always say what a pretty name.

hayley2u · 27/06/2008 16:17

lucile
mogan
ciara

SquiffyHock · 27/06/2008 16:17

See, I would pronounce it like you but when I looked it up it's regularly listed as Tal-ya and one website a girl was complaining about it being pronounced Tal-ee-a! Being unsure was enough to put me off but it is such a pretty name

Bluebutterfly · 27/06/2008 16:21

Astrid is pretty - and fairly unusual...
