Romilly is lovely, our surname begins with R so I can't have R names.

onceinalifetime · 04/07/2008 14:55

How about Fabienne, which is French but easy for most people to pronounce I would have thought.

lalabigbird · 04/07/2008 16:33

Hows about Thalia?

She is the greek muse of music and comedy, in greek mythology.

can be pronounced feelia or tha-leaha.

i only know of one, and shes my sister!!

older names are also good: freya. or shortnings of names: emmie, izzie, mia

'Tallulah, a sister to Boudicca'

In reception next year are a Doris, edie, pearl, rosamund and dilly... Plus 4 sophies 2 mollys and a sapphire
the 5 boys are far more usual

PiperG · 04/07/2008 20:28

instead of Romy how about Romilly - I love this and would have considered it if we didn't have a mouthful of a surname beginning with R ...

PiperG · 04/07/2008 20:29

er, sorry sweetkitty, i missed your post - have said exactly the same as you ...!

vesela · 04/07/2008 22:13

"In reception next year are a Doris, edie, pearl, rosamund and dilly... Plus 4 sophies 2 mollys and a sapphire"

That says it all, really, doesn't it.

I'd go for Rampart.

'Tallulah, a sister to Boudicca'

Boudi is quite a good nickname... It probably means something rude in French, though.

vesela · 04/07/2008 22:20

haha - "bouder" means:

1° montrer du mécontentement tout en restant silencieux, passif.
2° se montrer indifférent ou hostile à quelque chose.

Very apt for a toddler.

greenelizabeth · 05/07/2008 10:48

Rosamund is nice. Could be Rosie or Romy too, until she is older.

Mawma · 05/07/2008 10:57

friends little girl is CARLA, she is a gorgeous little thing with blue eyes and dark curly hair

rockinmum · 06/07/2008 20:26

We're having a Lorna?

Seems pretty rare where we are but as soon as you say it everyone knows where it is from lol

googgly · 06/07/2008 20:29

Ondine is my fave girl's name. If I should ever be blessed with a dd she will be Ondine.
