Do you prefer Axel or Justin? I've gotten some faces when I've mentioned either as potential names we're considering (which has caused a bit of doubt).

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Pause OP and think for a minute… do you actually like let alone love the name Axel so much that you want to name your child it

Hotcurrent · 29/07/2026 19:04

or Are you just looking for something unusual and sod whether you love it or not

Cairneyes · 29/07/2026 19:05

You have a rather , ermm, diverse taste in names!

Besidemyselfwithworry · 29/07/2026 19:06

Can I be honest??

id have a re-think both are awful!

TemporarilyCantDoMyself · 29/07/2026 19:08

One is aging greasy rocker and the other is elderly refined chap with plums in his mouth accent!
No idea how you could like both!

Dahliadaily · 29/07/2026 19:17

Axel Rudakubana

Peanutlicious · 29/07/2026 19:20

Sorry op, I'm not keen on either but if I had to choose I would choose Justin.

Fridgedooropen · 29/07/2026 19:42

I like Justin. Axel isn't bad but I think of Rose or the eldest son from The Middle.

Sorry off topic but I absolutely loved the Middle, such an underrated show!

Firebird83 · 29/07/2026 19:59

Justin. Axel just makes me think of Axl Rose.

clockfacesmiley · 29/07/2026 20:06

Justin is crying out for jokes about small penises. Justdon’t.

Minasama · 29/07/2026 20:16

Axel made me smile, but it is one of those names like Tyler or Rilee that is going to prejudice people (like Wayne, Jason and Darren when I was at school! And Gary 😀.)

p0pple · 29/07/2026 20:16

What about Jason?

Minasama · 29/07/2026 20:16

clockfacesmiley · 29/07/2026 20:06

Justin is crying out for jokes about small penises. Justdon’t.

Why?

Ibi · 29/07/2026 20:19

Is your surname Rose? The first names work either way! 🎸🤘🏌️⛳️

lookatmylife · 29/07/2026 20:19

They’re at the other ends of awful, I don’t understand how they can both be in the running!

hotmumshit · 29/07/2026 20:19

Neither sorry

Both make me think of a 00s douche bag in a tank top x

lookatmylife · 29/07/2026 20:20

Minasama · 29/07/2026 20:16

Why?

Just in…

IsThisLifeNow · 29/07/2026 20:20

Minasama · 29/07/2026 20:16

Why?

beacuse its just in? I'm not keen on either, Axel is a bit try hard, Justin is fine, but I only think of Mr tumble tbh!

merrymelody · 29/07/2026 20:22

Justin Bieber? Justin Trudeau? Justin Timberlake? Justin Time? 🤣

MysteryMachineRidesAgain · 29/07/2026 20:24

I was once at a work event when a woman was telling a colleague that a member of their team had had the baby and they were calling it ‘Piston’. A few days later it was revealed that he was actually called Axel.

Citadelica · 29/07/2026 20:25

What about Tristan or Tristam.

Hotcurrent · 29/07/2026 20:27

Citadelica · 29/07/2026 20:25

What about Tristan or Tristam.

Tristam looks like a typo

JustGiveMeReason · 29/07/2026 20:48

Like others, I can't understand how they are both in the running, as they are both such completely different vibes.

I haven't voted, as I don't like either.

User6761 · 29/07/2026 21:14

There's an Axel in my child's school - he has Swedish parents (and surname). Personally I prefer Alex. Never met a Justin. Do you like other J names - Jonah, Joseph, Jude, Joel?
