Sibling suggestions for Rosalind and Benedict

We're expecting our third (we don't know the sex yet, might wait until the baby arrives to find out).

Our children are Rosalind Mary Ellen (nn Rosie) and Benedict William Charles (nn Ben). We like quite traditional, formal names, that aren't overly popular, but with options for nicknames that are less formal while they are little.

We use family names for middle names, likely choices for middle names for a girl would be Jayne, Olive or Josephine. For a boy John, Patrick or Joseph. I quite like Madeline for a girl, I also like Emmeline but DH won't go for it. I'm at a bit of a loss for boy names though, we could go super traditional, so George, Henry etc. But nothing is inspiring me.

Suggestions are appreciated!!

Given the Shakespeare vibe I'd suggest Celia or Beatrice or Claudio.or Orlando. You may pass on Hero if you wish.

I wouldn’t go for Orlando or Beatrice if you have a Rosalind and Benedict.

My thoughts as well. Portia, Katherine, Miranda - stay Shakespearean.

How about Josephine as a first name. Its lovely, classic but not too popular and Josie for short is lovely. (I also know two Josephines known as Jo.)

I think continuing the Shakespeare theme as another poster suggested would be lovely too.
Miranda, Viola, Beatrice, Isabella, Portia, Helena, Cordelia, Juliet to add a few more for girls.
Julius, Prospero (could be Perry for short), Anthony, Fabian, Ferdinand, Lysander, Sebastian for boys.

You simply have to go with Beatrice, Celia, Phoebe or Juliet for a girl.

And Lysander, Orlando, Frederick or Edmund for a boy.

It is all then nicely Shakespearean-sounding!

@honeylulu you beat me to it! I adore the name Rosalind because of Benedick and Rosalind.

Monty36 · Yesterday 16:44

I would spell Jayne, Jane if being traditional.
