Mumsnet jury, please help me decide......................

Me and Dp had originally decided on the name skye for dd3 due in 8 weeks but after so many nasty responses to the name we have decided to try again.

After loking through baby name sites today we have found 2 out of the thousand that we looked at.

The trouble is, we cant decide which or what sounds right with the surname!

They are Kara and Brooke.

Surname is Williams.

Any feedback would be great

I think Skye is a beautiful name at people being nasty and if you like it who cares what others think? I would go with Kara.

Because that's the one you really want. I can't see anything wrong with it .

If you both love Skye then go with that. Only think of the others if you are euqally enthusiastic about them.

My own personal taste would lead me to plump for Kara.

I love Skye. You should go for that one.
Out of the other 2 I prefer Brooke

Everyone started making stupid comments like "oh when shes here i'll have to ask her what the weather will be like" etc

yeah, but if you just smile and ignore ignore people won't say things like that when she's here. my dad said that the name I originally liked (Esme) made him feel physically sick. And then suggested CASSIOPEIA. Second time around I didn't tell him the names we liked...

Skylar is pretty too, on that Skye type theme?

I like Cara. Not with a K though.

TBH we are on holiday at the moment with a lady who has a skye and caleb... all I can think about is neighbours. I think they were characters at about the same time as each other..
I like Kara, heard Karie the other day ( long a not short a) thought it sounded pretty.

i love the name sky, i was going to give to my dd(lucy erinn) but luckily my brother pointed out all she needed was diamond. as lucy in the skye with diomands, but love the name
also love brooke but not shure with your surname, as it does just sound like two surnames if that makes any kind of sence, skye is nice and girly

not mad on either but if you spelled it Cara it would be nice.

DD was a Chynna Skye, and DGD is Skye, it's a beautiful name.

Yes i prefer the spelling cara to Kara actually.

So im still no better off although i do like the sound of cara skye williams, seems to roll off the tongue, i think...
