Trinity?

What do you think of the name Trinity for a girl? Our other child has a name that also starts with the letter T, so I do worry that people will assume we were intentionally trying to make their names match. I’m probably overthinking it.

It’s a very Christian name.

Pringlebeak · 25/05/2026 20:33

It makes me think of The Matrix.

SausageRoll2020 · 25/05/2026 20:36

I'd expect Trinity to have sisters called Unity and Liberty, it's got that kind of early noughties wanting to be a hippy but not really vibe. Like the parents might have eaten some tofu once but never fully committed to soya milk 🤷🏼‍♀️

HugoThatway · 25/05/2026 21:03

Dreadful

CurlersIn · 25/05/2026 21:12

Love it, really pretty and unusual.

Tabarnak · 25/05/2026 21:22

It specifically means God in 3 forms.

A very peculiar name for a child.

The Holy Trinity.. it’s a lot to live with.

MannequinsArePeopleToo · 25/05/2026 21:23

God no.

Tabarnak · 25/05/2026 21:24

MannequinsArePeopleToo · 25/05/2026 21:23

God no.

Or….

God no, no, no

TallSturdyGirl · 25/05/2026 21:24

Are you uber religious? Even if you are do you want your child to be perceived as such?

TheyGrewUp · 25/05/2026 21:24

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Will all her friends have to make the sign of the cross?

stillhiding1990 · 25/05/2026 21:25

I love it

GoodVibesHere · 25/05/2026 21:27

Very religious

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 25/05/2026 21:28

I’m on the fence, love and hate it in equal measures.

MyDuvetDay · 25/05/2026 21:29

Matrix

But I like it ✅

Firebird83 · 25/05/2026 21:32

Don’t like it at all

ClaredeBear · 25/05/2026 21:57

I really love it but unless you’re religious you might want to prepare to answer questions about why you chose it. I’m an atheist and I love it though.

lindalidl · 25/05/2026 22:33

I know one! Beautiful name

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 25/05/2026 22:36

The father, the son and the holy spirit.
Also Trinity college Dublin...

Also sounds like it could be one of the cast members of TV show Charmed.

user293948849167 · 25/05/2026 22:51

I quite like it

VeganSteakAndFries · 25/05/2026 22:59

The Father,The Son and The Holy Spirit?

KnickerlessParsons · 25/05/2026 23:04

As in The Holy Trinity? Not unless you’re v religious.

Loures · Yesterday 01:30

Now that’s a beautiful name. I’ve never met a Trinity.

mathanxiety · Yesterday 03:04

It's a lovely name imo.

Sorry to see the religion-phobes seem to be out in force on the thread. I doubt your child will encounter as many ostentatiously rude people in real life.

Tabarnak · 25/05/2026 21:24

Or….

God no, no, no

HAHAHAHAHA very good

OvernightBloats · Yesterday 03:32

Horrible name. Pretentious. Trying to be different.

I would stay away from names that could lead to the child being bullied because of it. This is one of them.
