@NamingNoNames I missed the part about a second name! I agree pronunciation is less of an issue if it’s a second name.

My daughter is called Elowen which is Cornish for Elm. I think that’s been suggested already though ❤️

That’s actually a more unusual spelling of the name. Last year the most popular spelling was Méabh, followed by Maeve, with the other spellings lagging a good way behind, according to CSO stats. I was at school in the 80s and Maeve was the most popular spelling then.

Definitely not Cormac!

Cormoran might be acceptable, as in Cormoran the giant on St Michael's Mount and, of course, the well-known Cormoran Strike.
