very nice, I'm a fan of old gent names

LargeGlassofRed · 17/06/2008 01:46

I love it! my second fav boys name, my ds is Oscar but i'd love an Arthur.

SummatAndNowt · 17/06/2008 01:48

I like it! Kingly!

NicMac · 17/06/2008 07:05

LGOR - my DS1 is called Oscar and DS3 is named Arthur. Really it was DH's choice but it does suit him! I also have a Hugo

Pollyanna · 17/06/2008 07:06

Yes, really like this too. (if I have another boy, I would campaign for this).

AbbeyA · 17/06/2008 07:07

I don't like it at all. He will grow into it evenTually but it sounds odd on a small DC.

forevercleaning · 17/06/2008 07:09

yes, lovely

Bucharest · 17/06/2008 07:10

Still a bit Eastenders old bloke who runs off with the Christmas club money for me.

FairyMum · 17/06/2008 07:13

No. Old man's name.

sophiewd · 17/06/2008 07:15

I love it, DH said no.

spareparts · 17/06/2008 08:10

Love it!

seeker · 17/06/2008 08:20

Be careful - it does depend where you live and whether you would mind all his little friends calling him Arfur! My friend's little boy is Ethan - and she gets so stressed out by hearing "Can Efan come to play?" She nearly killed me when my ds wrote "Happy Birfday Efan" in his card!

bonnibaby · 17/06/2008 08:33

Not keen ,sorry.

missblythe · 17/06/2008 08:43

Lovely

Brightfield · 17/06/2008 08:47

I love it.

LuLuBai · 17/06/2008 08:50

Great name - very cool, very now. But you do know that it is the name of David Cameron's youngest don't you? A hip young friend of mine named her son Arthur about a month before Mrs Cameron gave birth and was somewhat irked that they chose the same name.

Comerscroft · 17/06/2008 09:23

was there not a cat called Arthur that advertised cat food?

Abbreviations..........Art...?

philmassive · 17/06/2008 09:26

It's lovely, go for it. It's the name for a quirky little mischief maker. fwiw I've got an Albert and a Henry, so it's right up my street.

MrsPuddleduck · 17/06/2008 09:36

Genuinely love it

LadyThompson · 17/06/2008 12:38

Know one abbreviated to Artie, which is quite cute.

branflake81 · 17/06/2008 12:41

Do not like at all, sorry.
