Know one abbreviated to Artie, which is quite cute.

It's lovely, go for it. It's the name for a quirky little mischief maker. fwiw I've got an Albert and a Henry, so it's right up my street.

Great name - very cool, very now. But you do know that it is the name of David Cameron's youngest don't you? A hip young friend of mine named her son Arthur about a month before Mrs Cameron gave birth and was somewhat irked that they chose the same name.

Be careful - it does depend where you live and whether you would mind all his little friends calling him Arfur! My friend's little boy is Ethan - and she gets so stressed out by hearing "Can Efan come to play?" She nearly killed me when my ds wrote "Happy Birfday Efan" in his card!

I don't like it at all. He will grow into it evenTually but it sounds odd on a small DC.

Yes, really like this too. (if I have another boy, I would campaign for this).

LGOR - my DS1 is called Oscar and DS3 is named Arthur. Really it was DH's choice but it does suit him! I also have a Hugo
