What are the current “naughty boy/girl” names?

i know there’s been threads like this done before I read some from 20 years ago when I was a kid myself. Obviously baby naming has changed a lot since then.
Because there will undoubtedly be someone who says this is mean spirited then this is your warning to not bother reading it.

I’m curious to see if my kids names come up because they did on a few of the old threads 😂. Comments from teachers especially welcome

AKA 'What particular class or ethnic prejudices are you happy to share on this thread?'

OP did say not to bother reading the thread if you are one of the eternally offended snowflakes... so why did you continue?

Idk that there are even different classes of names. The biggest scruffamuffins I know have kids called Hugo and Annabelle (often said to be upper class names) then I know actual posh parents with a kaiden.

Personally I’m very low class and my kids just have ordinary names

I agree about no classes of names up to a point - and I think that is definitely loosening up in recent years as well.

ETA I know a naughty Hugo as well! But also a very quiet and sweet one.

No Chardonnay?

Imamumgetmeoutofhere · 28/01/2026 13:50

Currently in my DD (age 11, year 6) the naughtiest kids are Robbie (boy) and Evie-Mai (girl).

When my son was in primary (he’s 17 now) they were Logan (boy) and Summer (girl)

Especially the "new wave" of Sebastiens, who often go mostly by Bastien.

That just makes me think of The Neverending Story. Bastian in that was alright 🤣

Chloe and Lily , never met her well behaved one, although one of them is a police officer

As a mum to a Lily and aunt to a Chloe, I wholeheartedly agree 😂

Kayden

Any of the made up sounding names like Jaylon or Kavon. They’re always little shits.

Race has entered the chat...

Turdd · 28/01/2026 13:54

Bastian is awful and sounds too much like Bastard!

My great grandmother was called Angel. It's an Irish form of Angela. I didn't know her but she was apparently one feisty old lady.

Oh yes! I know one who absolutely fits the description of naughty kid!

He went round the other children and gave them each a thump to demonstrate what he would do - but worse - if they told the teacher on him for what he was about to do (which, ironically, was not actually as bad as the thumping really😂)

Shay

Albie

Oh goodness, I had forgotten about Shay! Wholeheartedly agree with that one.

Harvey, Wyatt, Harry, Tyler, Billy, are others that have been very challenging.

Also, double barrelled.

Round here Archie is a very upper middle class name, def not one I would put on that list!

This isn't about class!

Grammarninja · 28/01/2026 14:12

I haven't met a Darcey that doesn't possess a mischievous glint in her eye. I'm a teacher so have met quite a few.

Callum
Riley

Callum has always sent a little shiver through me. I’m sure there are some well behaved ones somewhere! 😄

YesSirICanNameChange · 28/01/2026 14:13

Struggling to think of the naughty names (maybe I've blocked them all out) but considering it's one of the most popular names out there, every single Olivia / Liv / Livvie I've met or taught has been absolutely lovely.

I've only taught a couple of Jaydens, but both were lovely, quiet boys.

I’m surprised at Alex, that topped a list once of the name most likely to succeed.

Keir is a good boy, just not very talented.
