My middle name is Rae. Didn’t realise it was so hated!

if im honest i like it as a middle name but not first

It's a surname, and fine as one.

My dislike is because it's a filler middle name and popular as a hyphenated name.

JollyGreenSleeves · 25/01/2026 11:57

Sophie. The others don’t flow with the surname.

AlwaysRightISwear · 25/01/2026 12:14

Another vote for Sophie with your surname.

Sophie and Ella sound best with Robertson.

Rae and Rosa I prefer with other surnames.

Baguetteandcheese · 25/01/2026 12:49

As much as Rae is over done as a middle name along with Rose/Grace/May, I do think Sophie Rae Robertson has a ring to it. As long as it’s not hyphenated.

Sophie 💯

blizymitzy · 25/01/2026 13:28

Rosa

Cocktailsandcheese · 25/01/2026 15:48

Sophie sounds best and is a lovely name

Rosa, although I think I’d make it Rosalie, with Rosa for short

Me too!

sprigatito · 25/01/2026 15:54

I like Rosa, but I would use it as a shortening for Rosalind.

Elle is a “nothing name” and Rae just isn’t very nice.

Sophie goes well with your surname and is pleasant enough but a bit boring.

DemonsandMosquitoes · 25/01/2026 17:31

Rosa is the nicest name but doesn’t go with your surname.
Sophie is rather wet.
Dont like the others.
